The Day of Service

No, you do not have to be home during the cleaning. You can simply provide entry and lock instructions via our online booking form or you can send them via email, text, or by calling us.

If you would like to leave a tip for the cleaner(s), tips can be given as cash at the time of service or can be added to your credit card payment by request via text message, phone, or email. No matter how you leave a tip, cleaners keep 100% of tips.

In order for a cleaning to take place the following conditions must be met:

  • Cleaner(s) must be given access to the property during the booked appointment time
  • Electricity and hot water must be on and functional
  • Air conditioning must be functioning between the months of April and October

If any of the these conditions are not met by the customer, the appointment will be canceled and Queen of Maids will collect a minimum charge equal to 50% of price of the booked appointment.

The time needed for a house cleaning will vary depending on many factors, including the size of the area(s) you want to have cleaned, the condition of the home, if you have included extra services, and the number of cleaners set for the cleaning. These estimates are meant to help you plan and schedule your day, however times may vary. While we expect most homes to fall into these time frames, not all will

NOTE: These time estimates are for teams of two people. For teams of one or, larger teams of three, time estimates may vary.  Some home may take less than the estimated time for completion.

Either a solo cleaner or a team of two cleaners will arrive for your appointment. This depends on the availability of cleaners for the date and time you booked for and depends on the size of your home and type of cleaning you need. Generally for homes greater than 2600 square feet usually a team of two cleaners will arrive for your cleaning. If you want to specifically book with a solo cleaner or team of two cleaners, please make that request in your booking notes and we will work to accommodate that request if possible.

Does the cleaning quote include tip?

The price for a cleaning does not include a tip, however tipping is not required and the Service Professionals do not expect a gratuity for the service delivered but if you feel inclined to tip they of course would be appreciative of any gratuity.

Should I leave a tip?

Tipping is completely up to you, but please know that the cleaners do not expect gratuity for the service delivered.  Is is estimated that about 20% to 30% of customer leave a tip.
